Here are the tips for a perfect photo:

  • Look in front of you
  • Choose a good resolution
  • Personalize the background of your photo
  • Choose the right dress code for your profession

The background should be used to highlight your company logo and or the added value you are able to bring to your audience.

Regarding the first and last name section, I advise you to use all the characters at your disposal to insert:

  • Your job title
  • At least one factor that makes you different or unique
  • At least one of your greatest expertise

Finally, in the title of the profile, you should put a catchphrase that specifies what you are able to bring to your audience and how you can help them.

2 – Get found by the people who need you the most

In order to be found by the people who need your expertise, you should optimize your profile for both the internal LinkedIn search engine and Google.

To do this you need to optimize your title to beat the competition on both LinkedIn and the search engines.

In order to increase your visibility, I recommend:

  • choose keywords in your title that explain what makes you unique
  • optimize your title by taking into account the level of competition

Another way to attract the attention of professionals who are looking for your skills is to create and publish regular content directly related to their needs.

If you have a website you can use your website otherwise you can write articles directly on LinkedIn and share them with your network.

Regarding the form of content to put forward on LinkedIn, you will gain visibility by focusing on videos because still very few people offer this type of content.

To maximize your visibility on this network, I recommend you upload your video directly on LinkedIn.

3 – Ask for recommendations

The social proof you can put forth through testimonials from former employers, clients, and other professionals is extremely important.

You can take advantage of this section to:

  • highlight the human and professional qualities that characterize you the most
  • specify the means by which you prefer to be contacted
  • talk about your website, YouTube channel, etc.
  • describe the products and/or services you offer
  • detail the projects in which you have participated

In summary, in this section, you will make the link between your personality and the competencies you are capable of bringing to professionals who require your expertise.
